Rowan is 1!!! (3 months ago)

I uploaded these pictures kind of dumb, but I don't really care:) Love this boy, although he is pretty naughty!!!

What's up...

Elwyn lost her first tooth (in the car on her way home from dance, she didn't even know it fell out. Silly girl), since then, she has lost her other bottom tooth and they are both growing in nicely. Pretty sure I didn't take a picture of the second lost tooth:)

Rowan got another hair cut. Again, since then, he has had ANOTHER hair cut...which his dad cut TOO MUCH off, and I am still angry about it. Finally it is growing back and he looks like my son again:)

Elwyn's graduation picture!!!

Hanging out at the school, waiting for Willow's 4th grade program to start.

Willow at her 4th grade program

Elwyn's photography skillz...Too bad Rowan is looking away:(

Willow's County Report. She was assigned whatever County Moab is in...right now I can't remember, nor do I want to look it up lol:)

Elwyn graduated from Kindergarten...sad day:( We have LOVED Mrs. Evans...I should post the picture of Willow with Mrs. Evans too...

And Rowan has added not taking naps to his repertoire of not sleeping through the night. Sometimes he just cries hard enough that he tires himself out and falls asleep like this. It just breaks my rotten little heart. I love this boy TOO MUCH!!!

Spring Break 2013

We are usually pretty low key over Spring Break...as in, we don't do anything:) Rich usually takes vacation time in February (when school is still in), but we decided this year, we were going to try to do something over spring break! Of course Rowan HATES the car...mostly he just hates being in the car when he is tired. He will not fall asleep unless he is swaddled, with his fuzzy blanket and in his bed:( So anywhere we went, needed to be close. We decided on Park City. Rich LOVES to snowboard, and hasn't been since college. He wanted to do that and teach the girls. I was just happy I had an excuse to stay in the hotel room while he was doing that! I HATE the cold!!! Annnnndddd....my parents came up too. That was fun. I'm sure they didn't have as much fun as we did, because they didn't snowboard, but it was terribly nice to 'get away':)

On our way!!!!

In the hotel room. Incase you aren't aware, Elwyn is in the 'ugly face' stage bwahaha!!! Not sure what Willow is doing, or Rowan for that matter lol:)

My mom holding Rowan. My parents hate being in pictures...I do too:)

Willow all ready for her snowboarding adventure!!!!

Elwyn getting ready. This poor girl ended up being sick the day they went out. She toughed it out, and lasted the morning. She looked AWFUL when she came back. The rest of our vaca she spent laying on our bed, or the couch watching TV. ANNNDDD....I was up several nights with both her, and Rowan. If it wasn't one...it was the other. What a vacation....

Rich was SO excited!!!

All ready to tear up the mountain. I love how Willow is 'playing the part' of a snowboarder. Seriously, where is her smile:) K, so they had a blast. There aren't that many runs for beginners (we stayed at Canyon's Resort, maybe other ski resorts have more options):). Anyway, Rich took them out, taught them a thing or two, and then they rode up the mountain. He MEANT to take them down the 'easy' side of the mountain, but went the wrong way. NICE...Apparently they took an intermediate run down the mountain and ended up out in timbuktoo...good job Rich. So I'm not sure how they came back to me alive. Rich called and told me they were lost, and then 30 minutes later they were back at the hotel. He had found an EMT with an SUV and asked them for a ride back. Had he been on his own, or if the girls were experienced, they could have just snowboarded back...but the slopes were way too advanced for them. Anyway, Elwyn stayed with me, and Rich and Willow went back out after resting and having lunch. They had a great time, and Willow wanted to go out again the next day. I think this will become a yearly tradition at our house:)

And this is what Rowan and I did while they were gone lol:)

We had alot of fun. We spent a day shopping the outlets, and ate lots of junk food...ok, maybe that was just mostly me eating all the junk food:) The girls and I went swimming a couple of times in the outdoor pool...which was heated and super nice. I loved that. It was good to get away, and i wish we could have stayed longer. 3 nights just wasn't enough!!!

Lots of RANDOM:)

Valentines 2013. We ate some yummy Papa Murphy's heart shaped pizza. I'm a HUGE fan of their shaped pizzas...cheap and fun:) Rich also picked up some gourmet cupcakes, chocolate fudge, carrot, coconut, and red velvet. I vote that the chocolate was the best:)

If i cared, I would have flipped this picture:) This poor boy...he doesn't stand a chance in this house. Elwyn is ALWAYS doing something girly to him lol:) If Rich only new what happened when he wasn't home! And Elwyn's new thing is to make the ugliest face she can when someone is taking a picture:)

We ventured up to Primary Childrens Hospital the beginning of March for 'hopefully' the last time:) Rowan is now 100% wire free and we couldn't be happier. I still check on him a TON. Although that isn't completely necessary since for the last month he wakes up at least 3-4 times a night. I am on the cusp of a nervous breakdown...just sayin'.

And he's crawling!!! I believe he started crawling at 11 months...as of today, he can climb the stairs all by himself and can 'somewhat' go down backwards by himself. (Not the best idea). He pulls himself up to furniture and just started walking around the furniture by himself. I think we still have at least another month til he learns to walk:)

Rowan had his first haircut...and again, as of today, he has had a SECOND haircut:) 2 haircuts within 3 weeks....what am I thinking:)

He's a very happy boy, and he loves to bite. He has 4 teeth now and 2 more coming in:)

Dyeing Easter eggs. Looks fun...

Annual Easter Egg hunt. The kids had fun and hit the jackpot with the money this year lol:)

Easter morning. All ready for church. No one would hold still:)

Fuzzy picture...but I do love Row's new bowtie:)

Birthday Boy!!!

Happy Birthday ROWAN!!! Seriously...a year has gone by....what the heck! I miss my sweet, tiny, baby boy. Don't get me wrong, I am very happy that he is finally healthy and doing everything he is supposed...just a couple months late lol:) I love this boy! He has completely changed my life and brought more love into our home than I could ever imagine. Love you Row Row!

Kickin it with his birthday cake. If you can't tell, it's a basketball:)

Not sure what he is supposed to do....

YUMMY!!! He really didn't DIG into the cake. He politely licked the frosting, and finally ate more once we gave him a spoon:)

Opening presents. Pretty sure the girls were more excited than he was, but that's normal. He got his very own BYU hat...which he wasn't too big a fan of:)

This is how he spent his 'birthday' last year. I think this year was MUCH better lol:)

More:)

This little boy lost most of his hair:( That just broke my heart...

First time in the highchair. He wasn't too big of a fan:)

Someone had a birthday...Elwyn turned 6!!! She wanted to go to Chuck E Cheese. The kids had fun...

Elwyn had surgery again. She was not happy at all about it, and had a much harder recovery this time around.

Rowan had his follow up appointment with his Cardiologist. Here he is getting an EKG. The hole in his heart has closed and his cardiologist does not want to see us again. Woot Woot!!!

Halloween!!! Willow is a gypsy, Elwyn is Dorothy and Rowan is a lion. This was the day we received a call from Rowan's pulmonologist saying he could come off his oxygen FULL TIME!!! Rich was very excited...I was very nervous:)

The "Lorax" tree. This is at Primary Children's Hospital. We spent so much time up there this year, I'm not sure why we were up there this day. I'm guessing it was Rowan's appointment with the Gastroenterologist:) I think I'm funny...can you tell lol:)

Lol....this poor boy was so tired and DID NOT enjoy being a reindeer:)

More stuff...

So maybe if I was a good mom, I would have remembered my camera YESTERDAY so I could take a pictures of Willow at the Science Fair. Sorry Willow, I was lucky to even get out of the house:) Anyway, she did a great job and had fun. Her project was about geodes (rocks with cyrstals in them). She LOVES rocks:) Anyway, here are some more pictures from our past...

Rowan came home from the NICU on March 25, 2012. I was so nervous to bring him home. He came home on oxygen...which helped with my nerves...but made it very difficult to take care of him. He sure is cute though:)

(2012) We celebrated Easter the usual way...with an Easter Egg Hunt with our friends! I didn't go this year, but apparently it was a sunny day lol:)

(2012) Row Row sleeping with his daddy. There isn't anything better than a sleeping baby laying on you. Too bad he is already growing out of this stage:(

(2012) Willow participated in her schools track meet. I think she had fun. Again, I was not able to attend this either:(

(2012) Willow wanted to be a part of her schools' choir this year. Unfortunately, practices started right before I had Rowan...then it was so difficult AFTER I had Rowan because it was a complete nightmare to get him the car! (I had to switch his o2 tank, get him in his carseat and somehow carry his 20 lb tank, monitor and carseat all at once out to the car. Trust me, complete nightmare).

(2012) Rowan was blessed. I LOVE his sweet tux

(2012) We ventured to the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point. The girls had a great time. It was overpriced if you ask me...

(2012) Diggin for fossils

(2012) Elwyn played softball. She was so cute. It was so dang hot this summer, so I had a really hard time watching her games.

(2012) Rich dragged us to Montana. I hate traveling. We went to the lake one of the days. I was pretty sure one of my girls' was going to drown. At least this little boy looked cute:)
