I'm still young...right???

I was lucky enough to see many of my former Slow Knowledge (Snow College) Badgerette teammates last Thursday night. It was our advisors final year (after 24 awesome years). She is amazing. Anyway...i had an awesome time and felt like i was 18 again...what??? Okay i was totally tired by the end of the night, but we got some good laughs in, and that's all that matters:)

My fun friend Jenny and me. She was the President and I was the Vice President our second year. We were laughing so hard throughout most of the night. I love this girl!!!

My little helper...what???

So i come home yesterday from running errands by myself (can you believe i got out of the house by myself), to find the dishwasher and clothes washer running. Rich and the girls are sitting there watching TV and i ask him why these things are running. I knew there were no dishes in the dishwasher...hello, i'm the one who loads it!!! I knew my little helper (Elwyn) was to blame for this one. She was pretty proud of herself. I assumed Rich had started a load of clothes, until i looked inside and saw there was nothing in there. My little helper strikes again. I asked Rich why he didn't turn these things off, he said he thought i had started them and i should have told him before i left that i didn't turn them on. Well hello, they weren't on when i left now where they. Does this make sense to anyone???

So now i have a really clean dishwasher and clothes washer...lucky me:) Can't wait to get the electric bill:(

San Diego Road Trip

So we just got back from a mad fun road trip. Rich had a convention for his business ACN in San Diego...so the girls and I decided to go along for the ride. I'm glad we did, because we had alot of fun (there was also alot of screaming and tears involved as well, but who would expect anything less from me).

Trying to survive the car ride to California

Hanging out in our hotel room in Primm, Nevada ($20 bucks a night...nice!!!!)

I love that both the girls have their eyes closed...hilarious!!!

Read on for the exciting details of our trip:)

Scripps Aquarium

On Saturday i got my nerve up and took the girls to the aquarium by myself. Rich was in a convention all day and i was about ready to rip my hair out because the girls were bugging me. I was so nervous to go somewhere by myself with the girls (especially driving on California freeways)!!! But we had an awesome time and made it back to the hotel in 1 piece..shocking, i know!!!

There was an area where you could touch the starfish. Willow decided to pick one up when i wasn't looking, when i saw what she had done i told (yelled) her to put it back. Well she decided to throw it back in the water. I'm pretty sure it died not too long afterwards!!! she was in so much trouble after that.

Willow and Elwyn with pretend starfish and shells

Beautiful fish

This tank was huge and had some totally freaky HUGE fish.

These eels were so ugly i wanted to throw up. Seriously DISGUSTING!!!!

San Diego Temple

We were able to stop and see the San Diego Temple on the way to the beach.

The Beach...i loved it!!!

On Sunday we went to the beach. This was my favorite day and i wish we could have spent an entire day there. Instead we only spent an hour or so. oh well
Elwyn digging in the sand with her shell. She would not go anywhere near the water...which was just fine with me!!!
Looking for shells. Willow had buried all her shells she had picked out so no one would steal them...what's up with that!!!

Willow on the rocks
The seals...it was so fun to see them

Finding shells on the beach

San Diego Zoo

On Monday we went to the San Diego Zoo. It was huge, and we probably should have done it in 2 days instead of just 1. The girls were tired and Elwyn was super ornery, but we had a good time (i think), and saw alot of animals. Rich was yelling at me the whole time to take more pictures...hello, i took like 100. whatever:)

Rich and the girls at the front gate of the zoo. Elwyn didn't even want to be in this picture, but somehow we got a smile out of her anyway:)

Willow kicking it with the tigers. She had to do an animal report at school when we got back, and she chose the tiger...hence the picture of her with the tiger.

I love when Elwyn wants her picture taken...oh wait, exact opposite!

The Gorillas...they were fighting like crazy...it was totally awesome.

Me and the girls in front of the polar bear statue

Willow with the Koalas

The Koalas were so cute. i just wanted to hold one, of course they probably would have ripped my eyes out with their claws, oh well:)
