Okay seriously, so we went on vacation and i took a total of 5 pictures. NICE!!! And most of them are when we are in a hotel room...even better:) Let me just say...this was the best vacation EVER....what??? Here's the rundown: ps it's long...
We had planned a short but fun trip down to Phoenix, AZ to see my sister and her new little baby. We were going to leave Friday Feb 11th, so of course Thursday morning Rich wakes up with a fever and body aches, etc. etc. Of course i had many things planned for Thursday that all involved Rich helping me, so since he was on his death bed, i got to clean, run errands, load the car and everything else to get ready for the trip...besides that it was a THURSDAY, which means i teach dance...and i had told another teacher i would cover her classes as well...NICE....
Anywho, Thursday night Rich decides he is well enough to go play basketball..which made me mad, of course. Since he was well enough to play basketball i decided he was well enough to go on our trip. We get up Friday, he says he feels alot better, so we leave. I end up driving 8 hours of the trip...which should have tipped me off because I never drive when we are together. Anywho, we left at 7:30 am and got to Phoenix around 6 pm...right into rush hour traffic...AWESOME!!!! We get to my sisters, ate dinner and celebrated my neice Izzy's 11th birthday. Rich went right to bed after that...which still i didn't think much of.
Around midnight he gets up, goes to the bathroom, then comes back to bed shivering...which wakes me up. I'm like, hello...are you shivering. He tells me he is fine and doesn't know why he is shivering. After a while i decide to get up and take his temp...it's 104.5...nice....so i get on the phone with the insurance to see where i can take him and called a nurse to see what i could do. After an hour and 15 minutes on the phone they tell me he has influenza and there is nothing that we can do except get his fever to come down. Well i had given him Advil and a cold washcloth, so figured when i hung up that his fever would have come down. I checked it when i got off the phone and it was 105.5...what!!!! Well i ended up moving the kids out to the living room, and i slept on the couch...if you want to call what i did sleep. I was pretty sure i was going to be driving home with a coffin in the back.
Next morning...he's still alive. Let's just say i was surprised he didn't die in the night. I wanted to take him to the dr, but of course he wouldn't go. I asked him if we should find someone to come over and give him a blessing...but again, he just wanted to see how the day went. NICE. So in the mean time, i got the girls ready, and we left to go rollerskating with my sister and Izzy...which she wanted to do for her birthday. I totally rocked the skating rink...while my sister totally biffed it hard core in front of this AWESOME old couple that were working the skating rink:) LOL!!! I'm still laughing about it:) Anywho, after all that fun we went home, ate dinner and Rich finally let me take him to the dr. Turns out he had Swine Flu...even better:) We ran to Target on the way home, i bought Lysol wipes and Lysol spray....after he exited the car i sprayed everything down and followed him around with Lysol. I spent a good part of the night disinfecting my sisters house...let's not forget that she has a 2 month old baby and an almost 2 year old. i felt AWFUL!!!!
We decided to leave the next morning so as to NOT contaminate her house anymore. We left Sunday morning and drove to Vegas. The kids were very upset that we weren't staying as long as planned, but whatever. We made it to Vegas in one piece and no one else was sick by that point. The dr had told us he expected both girls to wake up with symptoms Sunday morning...and i didn't want to drive with sick kids. Anywho, they were fine...and Monday morning they woke up fine as well. We had a reservation which had been previously made for Monday night at the Excalibur...which couldn't be cancelled...so since the girls were well, we stayed another night in Vegas. The kids had fun and Rich felt okay enough to get out and about with us...spreading swine in the process:)
We ended up leaving Tuesday morning and coming home. Our original plans had us staying a night in St George at Rich's sisters house...but we didn't want to spread his disease any further. Anywho, after 9 days with a fever...Rich is finally better. Elwyn has a yucky cold, but no fever and Sunday morning i woke up feeling like death...but again, it is just a cold. So far Willow is our only healthy one:) She is pretty proud of that. Hopefully we are nearing the end of being sick...at least we can hope:)

This is Valentines morning. We stayed the night at a BestWestern...the room was not as great as the casino...but it was nice to not have all that 'commotion'. Don't worry that my Valentines dinner was at the food court at the outlets...AWESOME:)
We stopped at Hoover Dam on our way to Vegas...pretty cool. I wish we had more time to walk around.
I love this picture of Elwyn...and i also love how it looks like i didn't do their hair.

I LOVE how nice you are to me! Its a good thing that I thought the fall was just as funny as you did!!! I promise to load those pics in the next week, just so you don't look as lame as you actually are ;)
Oh man, that stinks!!! Glad he is feeling better. It's bad enough being that sick whe you are at your own home, but on vacation... what a bummer!!
