I Love You Mommy

So I don't usually start my morning off on a good note...mostly because my children wake me up WAY too early. For those of you who know me well, you know that I love to sleep. I would say that I need about 10-12 hours of sleep each night, although i usually only get about 9. Then once my children are awake they love to fight with one another and make each other scream as loud as they can. Anyhooter...this morning Elwyn climbed in bed with us...first she cuddled with daddy, which i'm sure he appreciated because he doesn't get to spend many mornings at home with the girls, then she crawled over to me and wrapped her sweet little arms around me and said, "I lu loo mommy." (I love you mommy). It was so sweet.

We have been trying to get her to say the word LOVE forever...she usually tells us no, and just gives us a kiss or hug. I love these sweet moments with my children...they don't happen often:)

KINDERGARTEN!!!

Our little Willow has started Kindergarten. I can't believe i have a 5 year old!!! She loves going to school...but we already knew that!!! She loves making friends and being the leader. She is our little chatterbox!!! Willow rides the big yellow school bus to school, which is really nice because i don't have to take or pick her up, which saves me money on gas:) I have been a little nervous about the whole bus thing, but she loves it and has already proved to me that she is very responsible. The first day of school they dropped her off at a totally different spot than they told us she would be dropped off at. So obviously we were waiting in the wrong spot. She found her way home all by herself (remember we had only lived in our home for 5 days by then). I am so proud of her. It makes me so sad/happy to see how grown up she is:) Anywho...enough crying for one day. Willow is in afternoon Kindergarten, which is great for me because i can still sleep in and not have to get up and get everything going. I'm sure this will all come to a screeching halt as first grade rolls around next year. Anyway...the moral of my memoir is that you should enjoy your babies while they are young...because before you know it, they are off to school- leaving you and not even thinking twice about it. oh well, such is life:)

Sweet Home Alabama....I mean Payson

So as you can see i am trying to update what has happened over the last 4 months of my life. In July we put an offer down on a townhome and finally made it ours on August 15th...okay we signed on the 15th, but didn't get the keys until the 18th....LAME!!! We are living in Payson, Utah and for those of you who do not know where that is...it is in the middle of nowhere. jk. Payson is about 15 minutes south of Provo. We have a Walmart, so no worries there:) We are happy to finally settle down, even if it is only going to be for the next 3 years. Over the past 7 years we havn't planned to be anywhere for more than a year, so it will be nice to actually 'unpack' all of our belongings this time. As I have been unpacking, i have realized how much stuff we have been carrying across the country since we got married. I should have dumped some of this dead weight a long time ago.

Anywho- we are excited about our house. I was especially excited to paint and update everything...of course now that i have painted four rooms (okay my dad painted 2 of them..which obviously they look really nice and the other 2 kind of look like crap), i have decided i am not excited about painting!!! We are slowly doing updates and enjoying making it our own. When i get around to taking pics i will post them. Who knows when that will happen though!!!

July 2008

Not too much happened this month other than Rich turned the big 3-0. How embarassing for him!!!! I didn't even take any good pictures of him. Since we had no friends to hang out with i didn't throw him a 'funeral' or anything. He had to work on his birthday as well, so the girls and I made the drive down to provo, black balloons and all, to take him to dinner. I know he appreciates my mean sense of humor:) Willow also celebrated her birthday this month. She is now 5 and thinks she is even more in charge than she was before...lovely. She had a wonderful birthday party with Grandma and Grandpa Cannon and all of my family. She wanted a pinata, so i took her to the store to pick one out and she picked a 'scary' clown. i don't know what she was thinking!!! One other very exciting thing happened in July...we bought a house. Okay it is just a townhome, but we are very excited about not having to look for a place to live anymore!!!

Willow and Izzy getting their fill of treats

Willow with her new 'Ariel' umbrella. She claims that Elwyn broke her 'Dora' umbrella when we lived in Wisconsin...but to be completely honest, i think that she broke it and is blaming it on her little sister.....nice!!!

I had no idea what to get her for her birthday. Usually i can just go to the store and find tons of stuff i want to buy her. It was much harder this year to find stuff that i liked for her.

She got way too much stuff like usual!!!
