The $7 Mixer

We all know about the $7 handmixer that you get for a wedding gift....well I never got one. Obviously you need a mixer, so what did we buy with some of our wedding money...a $7 handmixer. Anyhooter...i have owned that thing for nearly 7 years now, it's not the greatest mixer, but it has never let me down....until Tuesday!!! I was mixing some frosting (that had sat in the fridge overnight) for some brownies that i had made for a babyshower i was throwing for a friend. Well, one of the blades goes out...so i decide to mix with just one blade...thus the second blade dies. This wouldn't have been so bad, all things considered, except that i needed to make a cake for this shower. I could have just gone and bought a new handmixer for $7 but of course who was sick...Willow. Let's just say, there was no cake at the shower:(

Good news though...i bought myself a new $13 handmixer yesterday at Target...hopefully it lasts me another 7 years:)
